What Are You Wearing To FMMF: Tristan Chamberlin

image2-2
We continue our series, #WAYW2FMMF asking style maven, Tristan Chamberlin: What are You Wearing to FMMF?!….
Tristan or 鳥ちゃん (Tori-chan pronounced “Toe lee chan”), a nickname his Japanese family and friends gave him as it means honorific, is our next style feature and we like to call him a fashion connoisseur. Let us tell you why…

He studied Japanese at the University of Toledo and spent some time in Japan after his instructor told him his Japanese wasn’t up to par. Although he credits his initial style, pre-Japan, to his days dating back to skateboarding when he matched his board with his attire. He quickly learned in Japan, there was much to learn about fashion and style. He described how accessible the fashion was there: he would read a fashion magazine and would see the entire look on someone next to him on the train. As he immersed in the culture, his knowledge of Fashion and style became refined, detail-oriented and with this he became a true trendsetter on accident. He’s been featured in popular Japanese magazines and continues to inspire others through his style and knowledge of fashion.

His festival look pairs an oh-so-festive watercolor, patterned short sleeved button up top with a pair of denim jeans. He layers on a simple detailed denim vest. He incorporated details such as his gold sword necklace, layered bracelets and patterned band watch. To finish the look he wears the signature Doc Marten combat boots.
