Get To Know Designer Esther Myong Hall

 

 

Esther Myong Hall will be presenting her designs at FMMF 2015! Here is a sneak peek into this designer’s world and what you may see at the live show at FMMF!

FMMF: How would you describe your style of design?

Esther Myong Hall: Avant Garde, I like to think of the human body as the canvas for my sculptural art

FMMF: How has music inspired your designs or design process?

EMH: The music I listen to while designing a collection can often affect the mood of what I am draping. I try to pick a runway song to match with my collection and listen to it on repeat as I continue to do my work.

FMMF: Other than music, where do you get your inspiration from?

Esther Myong Hall: Nature, the human body and it’s interactions with the world.

FMMF What’s one thing about you that people might not know?

EMH: I’m heavily influenced by renaissance patterns and armor construction.

FMMF What are you looking forward to the most about Fashion Meets Music Festival?

EMH: The eclectic mix of designers, artists and musicians and how we blend together to make this a great showing all around.

FMMF If you could design a custom piece for any musician, who would you create it for and what would it be?

EMH: Bjork, she would understand the art of my pieces, it would be an extravagant dress enveloping her in patterns and texture with raw edges and a three-foot train behind her.
